Simple doesn’t mean Easy

Simple and Easy get confused a lot.  Easy is the opposite of difficult.  Simple is the opposite of complex.  A simple machine, like a lever or a wheel, has one function.  It does one thing.  But it still requires effort to move a load with a lever.

Running a marathon is simple.  1: Begin running.  2: Don’t stop until you’ve run 26.2 miles.  But no marathon runner on the face of the earth will tell you it is easy.

Being successful is simple.  Pick one thing every day that gets you closer to your goal and do it.  But don’t be discouraged if you stumble a few times, or if some days it feels way too hard.  You’re running a success marathon.  Don’t stop until you make it.
